Robinson, Bonnie Colleen- with heavy hearts we said goodbye to our sister on April 22,2023 at Halifax Hospice after a lengthy illness.
Bonnie was born on February 10, 1972 at the Grace Maternity Hospital in Halifax to Dale and Sandra (Keddy) Robinson and raised in New Glasgow along with her brother Stephen and sister Janice.
Bonnie enjoyed reading, she owned hundreds of books including whole sets of her favourites, especially Star Trek.
She was also artistic and liked to craft and dabbled in reading Tarot cards. Her favourite stores had rocks and gems, books and trinkets.
Unsettled in New Glasgow, Bonnie lived for a while in Toronto, Ottawa, Salt Spring Island, and Victoria BC but ended up settled in Lower Sackville, NS in an apartment she lovingly called The Burrow. There she enjoyed a small deck and the yard where she liked to feed birds and listen to the neighbor’s chickens.
Predeceased by her parents, Bonnie is survived by her brother Stephen, sister Janice, brother-in-law Chris Park, nieces Claire and Sarah Park. “Adopted” sister Amber O’Connor ( Simon, Drake, Draven, Daegen and Lily) dear friend Victor Whitewood. Uncles Ray (Faye), Rob (Diana) Ron (Debbie) Ernie (Sandra) Aunts Marlene, Rose, Janet (Dave) and Lois Padley with whom Bonnie had a special relationship, calling and checking in on each other regularly. Many cousins, including the ones who checked in on her most recently Trevor, Marsha, Taunya, Robyne, Chrissy, Angela, Sandra and especially Christine.
We will remember Bonnie for her love of family, her pets, animals and birds. Music by Prince, movies and books.
For her eclectic style and her laugh
In her remembrance she asked that you listen to Starfish and Coffee by Prince and make a donation to Hope for Wildlife or to Hospice Halifax where she spent her final weeks. All of the staff there are actual angels here on earth.
Oh, and always tip your taxi drivers!
