The Jolt Family regrets to announce the passing of Dr. Harvey Jolt. Husband to Loretta Jolt, father of Goldie Levey and Jodi Jolt, father-in-law of Jerold Levey, grandfather of Joshua Levey and Jordyn Levey. Dr. Jolt was a hospital administrator for New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation- Lincoln, Woodhull and Coler-Goldwater Hospital. He was both an administrator and a teacher to many. He enjoyed sharing his experiences and his knowledge for the benefit of others. Remaining close friends with his peers from work was an integral part of his day, while working and through his retirement, which was only about five years ago.
While working, he received his Master's Degree and his PhD from New York University. He was a graduate professor of healthcare management at both Adelphi and Long Island University. He also held his optical dispensing license and a nursing home license as well.
His love of learning carried him through all aspects of his life. That included sports as well, as he was a great basketball player and a great skiier. He loved going up to Manchester, Vermont for weekends of skiing with his family. Dr. Jolt was also a member of the CCNY basketball team at City College.
The family was grateful for his presence at our recent simcha, the bat-mitzvah of his grand daughter Jordyn.
Dr. Jolt will be very missed for his kindness, his wisdom, and his ability to teach and impart knowledge.
