Fishing time is here down the shore and I miss my Fishing buddy I think about every time I set foot on the boat- miss you buddy- Tommy

I have been thinking about Gilly lately and "googled" him only to find out he passed away not long ago.  He was my best childhood friend until adolescence, and was close to Sylvia as well as his mother, Sandra.  I have many happy memories of spending time at the family house where the fridge and freezer  was always filled with goodies!   Going to see his grandparents in Highland falls was always a treat for me!  We did have a chance meeting at a 40th Teaneck High School reunion, but didn't have much time to speak.
I am deeply sorry for your loss and my deepest condolences to Sylvia, Adam, and Phyllis.

My Condolences to his brother and nephews. When I was Super there Gil and I we bumped heads because he was stubborn just like I was and I was a know it all and so was he but I’ll tell you one thing when you need his help he was there when he got that motorcycle accident I was the one that picked them up from the hospital because he couldn’t get a ride, he always reciprocated which I didn’t look for, but the man had a heart that was unbelievable and may God bless him and be in the arms of his higher power and his family be  blessed during thier trials amn tribulations…

I've known Gil, all 8 yrs I lived in Jamestown Apartments.  He was kind, always active, talkative, friendly and always willing to help. I will miss walking thru that front door and hear your TV at its loudest volume, or hearing you running down the stairs or even picking up all your lit packages with car parts that would arrive almost daily. You were always so good to me and my doggy. Your smoking drove me crazy at times but I couldn't have asked for a better neighbor.  You will be missed. 🙏

I’ve known Gillie since we were in junior high we hung out together we used to drink together and we work together. He was a great plumber and a great guy. I will miss him very much. He was just good company and fun to hang out with. My deepest respects go out to Gillie‘s family and his brother Adam, who I’ve known since high school.            May God bless you. I met (Gilly) in the 6th grade at Bryant school in Teaneck New Jersey.... He was a different type of classmate to me. Dare I say... he had an air of understated cool about him. He was well liked everywhere he went. I even attended summer camp with him in Vermont when we were 13.  I always enjoyed running  into him and spending time catching up with each other.
I will miss my friend.....

My deepest sympathy to the family and loved ones of Gil.
I hadn't seen or talked to him in a few years but my heart is so pained to hear of his passing.  We had been neighbors for many years in the Nutley apartments and I have such great memories of all the fun we had together that time.  Gil was a wonderful, funny  and constant friend.  I could call him at any hour and he would be there to help with anything, including helping my family.   We spent many nights just grilling hot dogs and sipping wine outside, or planting in our little garden or walking to local restaurants with other neighbors.  He loved to take rides in his Mini Cooper and sometimes we would just spend the day driving in NY State, looking at plants,  laughing and trying new places to eat.  
He was a very special person and I was blessed to have known him.
