Mary Judith "Judi" Westbrook passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side on October 23, 2021. She was born in Oak Park, Illinois to Floyd and Elizabeth (Rafferty) Mathews on July 11, 1934. Judi worked at Woodland School for 22 years where she retired in 1992. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending her afternoons in the garden. Judi liked Friday nights with all her friends at the Backyard Steak Pit, matinee movies at the theatre, and her monthly visits with her dear friends and fellow coworkers. She is survived by her daughters Julie [Dave] Mills and Linda [Rick Stephani] Ozark; grandchildren Kyle, Megan, Hallie, Michael, and Joey; great granddaughters Dana and Ava; her sister Betsy, and many nieces. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Harry, her parents, and her brother Floyd. The family of Judi would like to thank Kindred Hospice and The Sheridan at Green Oaks for the kind and compassionate care given to her. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 10am-12pm at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL 60031. Interment will be at Millburn Cemetery.
