She was born April 11, 1942 in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Esther and Stanley Weisman. She had worked at the Lake County States Attorney’s office and Waukegan East High School. She enjoyed motorcycle trips with her husband, salmon fishing on Lake Michigan, volunteering at St Anastasia Catholic Church, watching the Packers beat the Bears and most importantly her most prized possession…her relationship with her grandchildren. She loved attending grandchildren’s swim meets, hockey, baseball and soccer games. Marilyn loved life and was a special person who was loved by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by husband of 50 years Ed, daughter Kim (Steve) Nerheim of Wadsworth, IL son John (Carol) Lesnak of Kenosha, WI and grandchildren Joseph and Peter Lesnak and Ellie and Steffen Nerheim. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation services will take place Thursday, May 15th at Marsh Funeral Home Inc., 305 N Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL from 4-8pm. A funeral mass celebrating her life will take place at St Anastasia Catholic Church located at 624 Douglas Ave, Waukegan IL on Friday, May 16th at 10am with Internment Service immediately following at Ascension Cemetery 1920 Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to St Anastasia Church.
