Sheila Marjorie Panopoulos (nee Podger) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sheila Marjorie Panopoulos on September 30, 2024, age 74, at Guelph General Hospital.
Sheila was a devoted mother to her 4 surviving children and loving Nana to her 8 grandchildren. She will be forever remembered by her siblings and extended family.
Sheila’s love extended to the numerous stray cats and squirrels that would appear at her balcony apartment door. These creatures knew where they would find a kind heart, free meal or spare arrowroot cookie. A few lucky felines even managed to make it indoors and were constant loving companions through her entire adult life. Sheila enjoyed the simple things in life, like visiting her grandchildren, meeting up with her Sunday morning laundromat crew, a good coffee, a winning scratch lotto ticket and watching TV crime series.
As per her wishes, there is no formal funeral service or visitation planned. Immediate family will have a private family viewing followed by cremation.
In her honour, donations can be made to the animal rescue of your choice.
