Born in Koblenz, Germany, Pete immigrated to Canada as an infant, spending most of his years roaming the Kitchener-Guelph area. He worked as a Fitter-Welder, with a few passion projects along the way. He was a great cook, making delicious lasagnas and cheesecakes that always managed to get cracks. He was a people watcher, at the mall in his vest, drinking his coffee. He looked forward to every bike night and event. Most of all Pete loved his family. He couldn’t always hear us, but he loved to be there.
He is now resting with his parents and sisters, Michelle and Dagmar. Pete will be dearly missed by his kids, Cheryl, Lee, Nick, and Christine. Pete was the cherished Opa to Janet, Jonathan, Kelly, Jesse, and little Mira, and great-Opa to Micah. Pete will be missed by his siblings Gary, Nancy, and Renee as well as his many riding friends and family.
There will be a ride in Pete’s Honour on Sunday, October 6th at 10am, meeting at 84 Lewis Rd, Guelph, followed by a Celebration of Life from 12-4pm.
