Mary Gleva

GLEVA, Mary Catharine-- With heavy hearts, we, the family of Mary, announce her peaceful passing on Friday, March 8th,2013. Mom was predeceased by her husband, our father, John Gleva, in 2002. Mom was mother to Kimberley Carere and her much loved son-in-law Tony. Her sons Ronald and David brought her great joy. Her greatest gifts, though, were her grandchildren, Marcus, Steffan, Blake and Cierra Carere, Bostin, Madison, Shawn, Jeff and Heather Gleva. Our Mom loved her life at St. Joseph Health Care Centre and the many friends and staff loved her as well. We are all certain that Mom considered herself the official greeter for St. Joseph's as she would position herself on a chair in the front lobby and compliment everyone on how wonderful they looked when they went by. The wonderful staff brought joy to her through music, dance and bingo and they cared for her as if she were their own parent. Very special thanks to Meryl, Zalina, Lily, Angela, Grace, Connie, Brenda, Sister Madelaine and many others. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 10-11 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Dublin Chapel at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph’s Health Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home (519-822-4731) or send condolences to www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com ).
