Ken McAlister

Passed away suddenly at home in his 88th year. He was the loving husband of Edie for 68 years. Great father to Judy (Barrie), Jim (Debbie), and Dan (Cindy). Grandfather to Brad (Leah), Mark (Amber), Ashley (Chris), Lindsay (Jordan), and Caeleigh. Great-grandfather to Ethan, Reese, and Olivia. He was the past-president of Golden Mile Kiwanis, a member of Scarboro Golf and Country Club, Cutten Fields Golf and Country Club, and the Wellington Men’s Club. Ken was involved in the trucking and transportation industry with many years spent at Toronto-Peterborough Transport and Inter-American Transport. He will be missed by all his friends in the Village by the Arboretum. Memorial Visitation will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9. A private family service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
