Passed away peacefully the Freeport Health Centre, Kitchener, on Sunday, July 16, 2023. Gilbert Joseph Cormier in his 94th year, was the beloved husband of the late Regina (Blanchard) Cormier (2011). He was the loving father of Sharon and Mel Cooper, Lorraine and Brad Buck and Gail Smith. Gilbert was the proud grandfather of Tina, Christopher, Andrew and Nathan and great grandfather of Misty and Kyle. He was the dear brother of Joseph Cormier and of the late Theresa LeBlanc, Bernadette Lebrow, and the late Peter Cormier, Geneva Foisy and Phyllis Surette. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St N., Guelph, where the family will receive their friends on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 12 noon – 2 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment in Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. A reception will follow in the Dublin Fellowship Lounge.
