Avery Gene Hebert, 49, of Nederland passed away Friday, August 28, 2015. He was born August 24, 1966 in Port Arthur, TX to Artie and Sheliva Hebert.
Avery was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson. He enjoyed all outdoor activities; boating, fishing and water sports. He loved the beach and most of all loved animals. Avery enjoyed his rock music and riding his 6ft unicycle around Port Arthur.
Avery was preceded in death by his father, Artie Hebert and grandmother, Viola Wimberly.
He is survived by his mother, Sheliva Hebert; son, Aaron Hebert and daughters, Baily Langston and Deniece Slaydon; financé, Tonya Mixon; brother, Archie Glen Hebert; sisters, Essie Vacek and Veronica Doyle. Avery also leaves behind 4 grandchildren; 2 expectant grandchildren; and a host of friends and family to cherish his memories.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, August 31, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a service to begin at 7:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A private burial will take place at a later date.
