William "Bill" Rush Kountz

William (Bill) Rush Kountz, age 80, of Grove City, Ohio passed away on March 2,2024 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 21, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Richard Ellsworth & Gladys Juanita (McQuilllian) Kountz.

Bill graduated from South High School, Columbus, Ohio. He married the love of his life, Patricia Ann (Hall) Kountz, and have been together 41 years. Bill was a devoted member of Grove City United Methodist Church. He worked in advertising at A&P Grocery stores, Federal Glass, Timken Bearing and then later retired from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Facility Management Division. Bill enjoyed watching Ohio State Football, puzzles, Sudoku, golfing, bowling, traveling, but most of all spending time with his precious family and friends whom he loved dearly.

Left to cherish Bill’s memory are his wife Patricia, brother John (Tamra) and his children son William (June) Kountz, daughters Tammy (Mike) Speed, Debbie Kountz, Stacy (Dawn) Chandler, and Michele Pierson, and 30 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Bill is proceeded in death by his parents listed above, son James Chandler, sisters Connie and LuAnn.

Visitation for Bill will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Schoedinger Norris Grove City Family Funeral Home, 4242 Hoover Rd, Grove City, OH 43123. The service will be at the funeral home following the calling hour at 12:00 pm with Pastor Danny Vanscoy. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Kingwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Lewis Center, Ohio.
