Warren B. Palmer was born August 25, 1942 to Charlotte Hughes Palmer and Warren G. Palmer in Columbus, Ohio. He left this world behind on December 13, 2024 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. In Heaven he joins his parents and his brother Charles L. Palmer and so many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He graduated from East High School and attended Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Warren served honorably in the United States Air Force as a young man and never forgot the great experiences he had in the service. Warren worked at the United States Postal Service in Mail Processing for 42 years and was convinced that his retirement directly affected the speed of mail delivery.
Warren is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cathleen Cormany (Palmer); daughter Christian Tobin (Bryon); grandchildren Christopher, Breane, Bryon Jr.; great grandchild Blaire; as well as family, friends, church members, and fellow target shooters. He was a longtime deacon and member of Liberty Hill Church and often attended Dublin Baptist Church as he grew older. He taught Children’s Church for many years and sang in the Male Chorus with a booming, slightly off-key voice.
Warren was a true Renaissance Man who loved to travel, he visited Africa, Jamaica, Portugal, and Spain. He loved reading, mathematics, writing award-winning poetry, target shooting, bowling, but mostly he loved God and people. He often shared words of wisdom and offered Bible verses to those he met along the way. He had a special relationship with young people, he really wanted to see each one excel in life and use their talents to the fullest.
Visitation with the family will be at Schoedinger Grove City Funeral Home, 4242 Hoover Road, Grove City, Ohio on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 12-2 pm
