Walter Robinette, age 86, of West Jefferson, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023. He was born January 7, 1937 in Williamson, West Virginia to the late Lee and Effie (Hensley) Robinette. Walt loved to fish, tend to his garden, and spend time with family, especially his grandchildren. He worked in the coal mines in West Virginia and when he moved to Ohio, he was a carpenter and a landscaper. Walt was proud of his sons and one of is favorite accomplishments was teaching them to operate heavy equipment. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Lee Robinette and siblings, Nella Watts, Lucille Kirk, Homer Robinette, Carlos Robinette, Wanda Hall, Lottie Kirk, Maxine Noon, and Arville Robinette. Walt is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Hazel; son, Rich (Melissa) Robinette; grandchildren, Robin, Michael, Grace, and Emma; great-grandchildren, Angel, Eric, David, Vivian, and Braylee; siblings, Jeff (Loretta) Robinette, Bonnie Watts, and James Robinette; special nephew, Tony (Debbie) Kirk; special niece, Joyce Robinette; brother in law, Leonard (Jackie) Kershner; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2023 at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., (HOOVER RD AT KINGSTON AVE), Grove City where funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
