Sherry Nicole Harris, 44, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from health complications. She was born October 1, 1980 in Columbus, Ohio and attended South High School. She was an active music enthusiast and enjoyed living life to the fullest. Throughout the years Sherry and her cousin Amanda spent many summers together. They enjoyed swimming, singing, listening to New Kids on the Block, and going to the Ohio State Fair. As adults Sherry and Amanda shared a love of Twilight, The Walking Dead, and The Vampire Diaries. They traveled to many filming locations and attended conventions where they got to meet their favorite actors. The best part of all their travels was spending quality time together. Sherry loved ordering things from TEMU, getting her nails done, having her hair styled and cut by Allison Whited, and attending concerts. She was always taken great care of by her helpful and close cousin, “Rocky” who attended the Kane Brown concert with her. Another favorite memory that she made was going to the Jelly Roll concert with her “brother from another mother”, Byron Wallace who picked her up and chauffeured her for the night. Piercings were also something that Sherry found her identity in. She always recruited her cousin, Katie Smith to help make sure that each ring and stud was placed just right. And we can’t forget about pickles, she greatly delighted in them, especially the pickle cheese ball that her mother, Mary made. She shared that recipe with a lot of friends and family. In 2017, Sherry was a coach with her father, Charles for the Columbus School of Special Olympics and a 2022-2024 mentor of Special Olympics Area 18 - Highlanders in Virginia. Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Charles Harris, Sr.; paternal grandfather, Jack Harris; paternal grandmother, Katherine Smith; and maternal grandparents, Floyd and Alice Kendall. Sherry is survived by her mother, Mary Harris; brother, Chuckie (Ashley) Harris; nephews, Jacob Duffee and Tre’ Harris; niece, Rylee Cordell; aunts, Donna (Larry) Houchins, Tracy Smith, Nancy Midkiff, Vicky (Eugene) Maxey, and Ruth (Mike) Britt; uncles, John Smith, Donald (Carolyn) Kendall, Danny (Betty) Kendall, Jimmy (Debbie) Kendall, and Gene Kendall; and many other relatives and friends.
