Margaret Estelle Coldiron

Margaret Estelle Coldiron, age 79, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 in Columbus, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, Estill and Maude Hay, sisters, Marilyn (Paul) Aldridge, Karen (Paul) Franklin. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Burleigh Coldiron Jr, children, Michael (Tami) Coldiron, Mark Coldiron, Regina (Christopher) Mayeres, grandchildren, Keegan (Victoria) Coldiron, Alexander Mayeres, Zoe Mayeres, great grandchildren, Macy and Leland Coldiron, sister, Regina (Rex) McGraw, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Margaret was a beloved wife, wonderful mother and simply the best Meemaw anyone could ever ask for. She loved her family and friends deeply and never failed to let them know how much she cared. But beyond that, she was smart, creative and extremely talented. She loved working with her hands and there wasn’t a craft out there that she couldn’t pick up quickly and master. Her favorite hobby of all was crocheting. She could crochet anything and was a true expert crochetier and artist. The world is filled with her many beautiful creations from over the years. Margaret worked for Motorist Insurance for 30 years before she retired. She enjoyed her job and made many friends there. Margaret also loved watching the Olympics, especially the gymnastics and figure skating, and everyone knew that you did not dare call her when it was time to watch the Buckeyes play football! She had a great sense of humor and was quick-witted and so very funny. There truly aren’t words to describe how much Margaret was loved and how much her family and friends will miss her every day. To know her was to love her and we were all very blessed to have had her in our lives. A Memorial service will be held for Margaret on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 2:30 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd(Hoover Rd at Kingston Ave.) with Mark Dettmer, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity, especially those that help women and children in need.
