Harriett Lee Unger

Harriett Lee Unger, age 90, passed away five days after her 90th birthday. She celebrated her 90th birthday with a great birthday party thrown for her at The Danbury in Grove City by her children with many family members and friends in attendance. She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, William D. Unger, parents, Harry and Alta (Strider) Nichols, sister, Phern (Robert) Kendall. She is survived by her children, Michael (Holly) Stephens, Ronda Stephens, David (Deborah) Stephens, Jim (Eva) Stephens, John (Brenda) Stephens, Paul Stephens, grandchildren, Jessie (Dr. August) Higgins, Danielle Bourn, Adrienne (Eli) Renick, Drew (Christy) Smalley, Stephen Williams, Kurt (Becca) Stephens, Sara L (Andrew) Weatherhead, Suzanna Marie (Tyler) Bell, Marianna Lee (Jimmy) Evergreen, Nancy (Joshua) Walls, Ashley Stephens, great grandchildren, Eden Smalley, Abram Smalley, Clara May Weatherhead, Sunny Renae Martinez, sister, Ruthellen Joyce Wilson, along with nieces, nephews and dear friends. Harriett worked for over 30 years as an administrative assistant for Special Services while at Bexley City Schools, The Ohio State University, was a counselor for the Billy Graham Crusades, and was the secretary for the Board of Ministry at Columbus West Church of God. She was a current member of Grove City Vineyard Church, and hosted a small group in her home. She volunteered at Mt. Carmel with Diabetes Education. A visitation time will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Grove City Vineyard 3005 Holt Rd. Grove City, OH 43123 from 9:30 am until time of service at 10:30 am. Pastor Christian Root officiating. Interment will be at Green Lawn Cemetery.
