Jude graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1956 where he met and married the love of his life Naomi in 1960 and together they raised 14 children. He worked for Sauer Mechanical and was a member of Local 189 Plumbers and Pipefitters for 64 years. He was a devoted and dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish and served as a member of the Knights of St. John since 1956.
Jude was a true outdoorsman and an avid gardener; his love of nature was evident not only in the way he lived his day-to-day life, but in the way, he taught others to appreciate the outdoors. He volunteered with the Trail Blazers through the U.S Sportsmen's Alliance teaching children to fish and shoot archery among other outdoor activities. He was a longstanding member of the Hilltop Sportsman Club contributing his time to service for veterans, women in the outdoors, the junior rifle program and promoting hunter safety. In his later years he would battle with squirrels while he enjoyed watching birds.
Jude was a loving and devoted husband, father, papaw, brother and friend. His work ethic, dedication and grit were evident to anyone who met him. These are some of the greatest gifts he bestowed upon his children, and they are eternally grateful.
