Just to know Stan was a blessing. He had the heart of a warrior in the courtroom and the heart of a Saint outside it.  He cared for his clients, loved his family fiercely and cherished his colleagues at Plunkett Cooney and in the legal industry. I had the pleasure of knowing Stan for almost 30 years. He was a fellow (and proud) De La Salle Pilot. I will never forget him... WE will never forget him. Rest in peace Stan and may God bless Margie and his family at this difficult time.

In honor of the Plunkett Cooney bard:

‘‘Twas the week before Christmas and all through the land, not a creature was stirring over the loss of  our Stan.

Feeling sadness and grief ourselves, and for his family too, how can he be gone at just 82.

The lives that he touched, and there were many, are shaken to lose our Christmas Stanny.

Stan, you have earned your just reward, now sleep gently with our Lord.

I’ve known Stan since his Queen of Heaven baseball days with my brother Gordie in 1957! He was always a nice guy to  that batboy and remembered my name! Stan was a supporter of the National Polish American Sports Hall of Fame,. Along with son Adam he played in the annual golf outing.
The legal profession will miss his sensitive insightful approach.
Stan made his mark. He will be missed.

Mary Anne & I mourn the passing of Stan.  He was a member of the class of 1977 at Plunkett Clooney when he became a shareholder.  As a fellow member of that class, we spent the better part of fifty years working together at PC.  He will be missed-especially at this time of year when it would be time for his annual poem at the firm Christmas party.

My most sincere condolences to the family and all who knew and loved Stan.

I may not have worked directly with him, but loved seeing that smile in the office.

Was lucky enough to work for the same firm with Stan and directly with Max.

My favorite memory were his poems at holiday time.

May his memory be a blessing.

Stan and I met at Our Lady Queen of Heaven School in 1948 and never strayed too far from each other over the years.  When Dawn and I bought the house next door to Margie and him in Port Austin in 2004, our friendship strengthened even more. Our deepest condolences to Margie and the entire family on the loss of this wonderful man and a great friend. Dawn and Dennis Hafeli

I was Stan's law partner for more than 20 years. He was a darn good lawyer. More importantly,  he was a person of great integrity and a genuinely nice guy who really cared about  the people he worked with and dealt with. Stan was easy-going, calm and thoughtful. It was a pleasure to know Stan and an honor to be his law partner.
