Robert McKenzie

Married Louise Bertolotti August 31 1963 and just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Father of Lisa Louise Brancato (David), and the late John Robert McKenzie. Grandfather of Ashley Maria Brancato and Brooke Nicole McMahon ( Jesse).

Robert was a lifelong resident of St. Clair Shores and graduated from South Lake High School in 1956 . He achieved B.A. and M.A. degrees from Wayne State University and had a long career in Elementary Education in the Lakeshore Public School System from 1962 to 1999. He was a charter member of the Lakeshore Federation of Teachers and was the Secretary Treasurer of the Group at one time.

There will be a visitation for Mr. McKenzie Friday, September 9th from 3 – 8 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home , 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Robert’s Mass will be Saturday September 10, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 5900 McClellan, and Detroit, M48213, where he will lie in state at 10:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
