Patricia A Nurse

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Anne Nurse. She was welcomed into God’s arms on June 10, 2023. Pat was a long time Grosse Pointe resident. She was born on October 14, 1925 in Guelph, Ontario to the late Albert Leo and Sarah Louise Corrigan.

Pat attended Loretta Academy High School graduating in 1943. She worked as a Legal Secretary for Dunbar, Goetz and Dunbar in Guelph. Pat and her husband Howard moved to Michigan in 1953 and became United States citizens in 1961. She attended Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and was a member of the Altar Society. She was also a member of Grosse Pointe Woman’s Club, Rosary Altar Society, Bon Secours Nursing Care Center, and volunteered in the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Pat also enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, boating, and bowling.

Pat is preceded in death by her beloved husband Dr. W. Howard Nurse; loving sister, Helen Corrigan; loving brothers, John Corrigan (Marie) and Father James Corrigan; loving sister- in- law, Janet Corrigan.

Pat is Survived by her beloved children, Leslie Ritter (Steve), the late Susan Wilson (Bill), and Dr. Richard Nurse (Nancy); loving grandchildren, Matthew Nurse (Tori), Michelle Nurse, Meghan Rajnauth (Rodney); loving great-granddaughter, River Sophia Nurse; and caring brother, Douglas Corrigan.

Pat's services were held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Our Lady Star of Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236.
