Milt was a great guy - generous  and kind to all but  particularly  caring and loving toward his family .  Everyone who knew him , liked and respected him . He was a true gentleman , who was always ready  to help his family ,  friends and neighbors in any way he was able  to do so .  His care for others and for animals lives on through his 4 grandchildren , one of whom is an MD and another who is a veterinarian . 

Dear Dad, Thank you for being such a kind, patient and loving Father. So often I hear “You are born alone, You live alone and You die alone”, I guess in theory that may be true but in reality that’s far from Your truth. You made friends quickly wherever we were, wherever you went and you kept them for life. You were the generation where a handshake was your word. So many memories, such wonderful times . I have to thank you for all of our skating rinks in the backyard that you made every year for us,  for setting your alarm and going outside during the middle of the night so you could put a thin spray of water on the ice for it to be smooth when we got home from school. I rushed home every day after school to skate. Every skating rink I have seen in my life reminds me of you and I proudly carried on the tradition with my three sons! Remembering the  sled rides at night with the first snowfall of winter,  you always were a hands-on Dad! So very special for children to have. You set the bar high for any man that was in my life. The last seven years have been truly meaningful to me, I know they were for you as well!  From you taking care of me throughout my Cancer journey to me taking care of you through your Vascular Dementia and dying journey. No you didn’t die alone. I’m honored to have taken care of you and spend your days, with you! What wonderful times we shared I know you as my father but more importantly I came to know you as my best friend! Be Peaceful now Dad, you had a beautiful, blessed Life. Till we meet again. All my love,  All my life, Karen❤️

I'm so blessed to have caught up with Mr. Kodidek and Karen after so many years. Mr. Kodidek couldn't quite place me from so long ago, yet he knew he knew me. Visiting was always a pleasure and I was glad to have had the chance to say goodbye.

I met Milt six years ago.  The first thing that struck me about him was his hand shake.  Very strong and you could tell he was a class act.  The second thing was when he shook your hand he looked you in the eyes.   That to me is a man that you could trust and i was right.   He Loved his family and his dogs.   If there was a stray that needed a home Milt told Karen get him here.  He was a very Intelligent man and we would talk about business and sports.  He loved golf and bowling and unfortunately for me never had the chance to golf or bowl with him .   Milt was never afraid to tell you what he thought and if he didn't like a situation he wouldn't tell someone else he would tell you to your face.  He was a great man and father and will sorely be missed.   It's funny the way things worked out.  When Karen battled cancer and numerous operations he was right there beside her and i can remember him telling me how much he loved her.   Then it was Karen's turn to take care of her father.  The last thing he said before he died was to Karen.   In a moment that i still don't understand, he opened his eyes and put his arm around Karen and told her " I Love You and thank you for taking care of me".    May you rest in piece Milt.      John

Milt was the embodiment of the American Dream . He became a Mechanical Engineer and created a very successful business due to hard work and perseverance .He loved his country , his community , but most of all his family . 
Milt was very kind , & never met a stray dog that he didn't want to take in & care for. He was highly regarded in his neighborhood as he was always willing to help neighbors fix things , check things , or move things .
 I learned 1st hand how valuable he was in Oct. 1981 . His daughter , Karen was going to  rent a condo owned by Chuck Shreve and me, when we were moving to a house I bought. Karen told us Milt offered to let  us use his truck , dolly & other equipment to move our stuff out of the condo if we would help Karen move hers in . We readily agreed . We had no idea that Milt would be coming along w/ the equipment . We did both moves in 1 weekend w/ Milt outworking both of us combined , even though he was 25 years older than we were . By midday Sunday , Chuck and I were pretty wiped out, but Milt , like the Eveready Bunny , was still going! That's the kind of guy Milt was- selfless , helpful and a gentleman in every way . 
"With charity for all and malice toward none" is an apt description of Milt- He never had a cross word for anyone  - He was a great guy and I will miss him

So very sorry for your loss.  Your Dad / Grand Dad was a very good man and he will be missed by friends and family alike.

Oh, where do I begin ?  So many memories of your Dad and Mom and my parents through the years.  I am so sad to hear of Milt's passing.  I wish I were up in MI to attend the services.  You will all be in my thoughts and prayers this weekend.  RIP, Milt.  You will be remembered with love.  💗

A great Uncle, many wonderful visits in Calif, Florida and Michigan. You well be missed here.

I have such fond and fun memories of and with you, Grandad. You had a huge impact on my life; I can remember times with you as far back as 6 years of age. From driving across country, to living with you (or 2 blocks over), to put-put, to lunches/dinners, to The Shores Park, to bowling, we shared a lot of good times in Traverse City, Grosse Pointe, and Boca. You will be truly missed Grandad; love always, your favorite granddaughter.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the honor of meeting  your Granddad/Father on a few occasions. Each time I was greeted with love and acceptance.  I can tell you both share his same loving and accepting personality as well. I am praying for your family's strength to get through this difficult time.

For the past few years my husband Gjon & I have had the privilege of Milts friendship. We were hired as painters, and became friends. Milt & his daughter Karen are two of the kindest people we've had the pleasure to work for.  He was very fortunate to have Karen caring for him, her selfless devotion to her father was remarkable.
We will always remember his way with animals and his relationship with his pups 💖

Mr. Kodidek was just a wonderful person, husband, father and granddad.  My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to his family.   I know you will be sorely missed.  I have been friends with his lovely, kind, and special daughter, Karen for over 30 years.  I can't say enough what a special bond Karen had with her father.   The care and love for each other was exceptional.   I live in Richmond, VA and when I come into visit I always stayed with Mr. Kodidek (also known  affectionally as DAD).  I truly cherish those wonderful memories and will always hold them close to my heart.  His kindness and empathy for rescue dogs was part of who he was/is and has definitely been passed onto his Karen.  

May you rest in peace with your Debbie, as I know how much you loved and missed her.

I was always love you like a father, and thank you, for letting me your third daughter!!!!  I love you and miss you.   I will definitely take care of you special Karen.

Milt was the beloved husband of the late Debby Kodidek for 62 years. Milt is survived by two daughters, Sue Carol Bell-Hamrick (Chris) and Karen Lynn Pfeiffer; four grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Hughes (nee Bell) (John), Stephen Eric Pfeiffer (Sarah), Christopher James Pfeiffer (Nicolette), and Matthew Kurt Pfeiffer; three great-grandchildren, Caiden Kodidek Pfeiffer, Charlotte Marie Pfeiffer, and Bodhi Thomas Pfeiffer. Also survived by numerous extended family and close friends.
