Robert Andrew "Andy" Brown

Mr. Robert Andrew “Andy” Brown, age 76, of Griffin, went home to be with his LORD and SAVIOR on July 15, 2017. He was born on August 28, 1940 in Woodbury, GA to the late Robert Jackson Brown and Jessie Erma Williams Brown. Mr. Brown was raised in Manchester, GA until 1964 when he moved to Forest Park, GA. He married his Junior High School sweetheart, Sandra Regina Whaley on June 14, 1959. Mr. Brown retired as a Captain with the Clayton County Police Department with 30 years of service in 1999. He found his “dream home” in Griffin and left Forest Park in 2003 after living there 40 years. Mr. Brown was an active member of Southside Baptist Church in Fayetteville. He was a motor cycle enthusiast who rode across the U.S. five times.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Sandra Brown of Griffin; children, Jimmy (Shirley) Brown of Forsyth, GA, Robin Brown of Griffin, Billy (Pam) Brown of Brooks, GA; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Alan “Bucky” (Pam) Brown of Woodland, GA. He also leaves behind his “adopted children” consisting of five miniature donkeys and two goats who loved him dearly.

Funeral services for Mr. Brown will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
