Michael Laurence Shackelford

Mr. Shackelford was born July 8, 1941 in Griffin to the late Travis & Evelyn Shackelford. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marlyn Shackelford. He retired from Delta Airlines and was a loyal member of the Griffin Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his children, Michael & Tammie Shackelford of Griffin, Michelle Payne & Craig Jackson of Locust Grove and Amanda & Chris Edwards, grandchildren, Michael Glen & Amber Shackelford, Katie Jo Daniel, Erin Hernandez, Sara Hernandez & Gabe Aguilera, Mylee Mobley, Shaun & Brittany St. Clair, Victoria St. Clair, Daniel Edwards and Allison Edwards; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Michael May, Gabrielle and Madelyn Aguilera, Kohan and Jada St. Clair and god-daughter, Regina Castaneda-Ontiveros.

Funeral services for Mr. Michael “Pa Shack” Shackelford will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
