Erika Bernice Hightower Childs

Mrs. Childs was born September 17, 1971 to the late John Thomas Hightower and Bernice Hightower. She graduated from Griffin High School in 1990.

Mrs. Childs leaves behind a husband, Bob Childs; daughters, Tiarra Hightower (Willie) and Zykeria Childs; step-sons, A.J. Childs, Roderickious Childs and Cortez Childs all of Griffin; step-daughter, Alexis Statton; sisters, Denise (Eddie) Leaks and Doris Hightower both of Griffin; brother, Jarvis (Twensena) Daniel of Riverdale; father-in-law, Rev. James H. Childs; brothers-in-law, Rev. Bobby J. ( Regina) Childs of McDonough, Rev. McArthur (Gwen) Childs of Barnesville; sisters-in-law, Eva Barnett of South Carolina, Jennie (Charles) Alsobrook of Jonesboro, Barbara Walker of Jonesboro and Bridgett Childs of Griffin; uncles, Horace (Gwen) Hightower of Barnesville, Rev. Charles (Mary) Hightower of Holly Hill, S.C.; aunts, Tommie M. (Charles) Harding of Barnesville, Rev. Ada Long of Newnan; grandchildren, Jaquavious Hightower, Jamiyah Alston and Caden Ellis; a very special and devoted aunt, Carrie Carter; devoted cousins, Greg ( Connie) Fuller, Ericka Fuller, Natasha (Broderick) McGhee all of Griffin and best friends, Wanda Dennis and Martha Morgan. A host of nieces, nephews, friends and associates also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Erika Hightower Childs will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
