Mrs. Reid was born November 3, 1923, daughter of the late Steve & Theresa Ronacher Dindl. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and loved working in the yard and flower garden and cooking. Mrs. Reid was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Monroe Reid, Sr. and grandsons, Bobby and David.
Survivors include daughters, Donna Bassham and Gloria Jennings of Griffin and sons, Douglas M. Jr. & Deborah Reid and Frank D. Reid of Griffin; 9 grandchildren and several great & great-great grandchildren. Several nieces & nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine Reid will be held Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Rev. Jeff Yearwood will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
