Peggy Ann was born February 19, 1924 in La Harpe, Kansas the second of three children born to Clarence E. and Jennie V. (VanDam) Godsey. Her brothers, Bill and Jack precede her in death. Her family moved from Kansas to Oregon in 1930 part of the "Dust Bowl" migration from the Southwest landing in Hood River where her parents initially worked the orchards. Peggy graduated from Hood River High in 1942 and later that year her family moved to Portland. While in Hood River she met her future husband and after his service in the Army, Earl Clevenger married the love of his life November 1945. They were married for 60 years when he passed away in 2005. They lived in the Gresham area from 1961 until 2010 when she moved to Milwaukie to be close to care and her son. She had simple taste and was devoted to her family and always saw the glass of life as half full.
Peggy is survived by her beloved sons; Timothy and Douglas Clevenger. They have been blessed to have her in their lives.
