Mary Janet Shahan Jacobson

Mary Janet graduated from Garfield High School in Seattle, Washington. She attended the University of Washington.

Mary Janet was a very patriotic citizen. Her American Flag flew in her backyard and she loved her time as a supervisor at the voting polls. Mary Janet was a 50 year resident of Gresham and volunteered in various community organizations.

Mary Janet retired from USI Insurance (formally known as Walrad Insurance) in 2004 and had worked for Rexall Drugs and West Gresham Grade school prior.

Mary Janet enjoyed being a grandmother and dedicated her retirement years to caring for grandchildren. They enjoyed time with their Mamie at the library, parks and wherever else they requested. She was devoted to the special care of her son, Ron, who in turn took very good care of his mom during her illness.

Mary Janet was an avid sports fan of The Seattle Mariners, University of Washington Huskies and the Seattle Seahawks.

Mary Janet is survived by her two sons, John Jacobson, San Francisco, CA, Ron Jacobson, Gresham, OR., daughter AnnMarie and her husband David Webster, West Linn, OR., sister Ginny and her husband Bob Christofferson, Kirkland, WA and their sons Ryan Christofferson, King Beach, CA, and Brent and his wife Julie Christofferson, Lynnwood, WA, and her four grandchildren, Raimie Harbison, Andrew Webster, Julia Webster, and James Webster and her great niece, Sofia Christofferson.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jim Shahan.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Gresham First United Methodist Church located at 620 NW 8th St. in Gresham, Oregon

Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Oregon.
