Lance R. Feller, 71 of Vancouver WA, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016. He was born on August 17, 1945 in Pasadena, California to Wayne and Wilma (Drum) Feller. He was a 1963 graduate of Hilltop High School in Chula Vista, California and was a veteran of the US Marine Corps from 1965 to 1969 serving on the USS Constellation. Lance married Sharon Linda Weitzel on May 25, 1968 in Portland, Oregon.
Lance received his Associate Degree from Clackamas Community College. He worked in retail for many years, including Kmart, Levitz and Plaid Pantry, before retiring from Conway in 2010. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and was an avid Mariner’s Fan. Though he was an original 49ers fan, he eventually converted into a Seahawk’s fan.
Lance is survived by his wife of 48 years Sharon Feller of Vancouver WA; daughters Monica Pridgeon (Derek) of Vancouver WA, Valerie Jensen (Chris) of Portland OR and Susan Shelby (Christopher) of Vancouver WA; grandchildren Jacob Pridgeon, Alyssa Shelby and Theodore Shelby and extended family that includes brother-in-law’s, sister-in-law’s, nieces and nephews. Lance was preceded in death by his parents.
A Public Viewing will take place on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon with a Celebration of Lance’s Life to follow at 11:00am at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home.
