Remembering how much of my childhood was lost with this beautiful woman who has now passed. I’m so very blessed an happy to have met her an her beautiful family. Growing up in Rockwood being the oldest of 4 was never easy but she definitely made a impact in my brothers an sister life. When mom was working an dad was too an there I was trying to get my siblings ready for school there she was making sure we was up so we wouldn’t miss our school bus. When mom and dad would be out working late an we didn’t have dinner on weekdays; breakfast or lunch on weekends there Juanita was either she would offer us some food or we would go to her snacks she had up for sale trying to make a living showing her independence. She was known for the snacks she had up for sale around the neighborhood growing up in Rockwood the kids new they wanted a good snack it was a must go to her apartment in which we all gave it a little name the “Vencidad” the “Vencidad” was where Juanita was she had some great snacks for a good deal; but to me an my siblings was more than that she was the one we would run to when we didn't have food on table she would let us borrow some money when we didn’t want her snack or food so we could go get fast food because as kids we don’t know any better. She’d say ahi se lo apunto a tu mamá. Meaning she would write it down for our mom.  It’s crazy how she played a big role in my childhood an I will forever cherish those moments thank you Juanita you was an Angel to my childhood an now your an Angel who will watch over your beautiful family an those who loved you.
