She will always be remembered by everyone who knew her as being the sweetest person you could imagine. Her sister Joyce Paola said “she was the fort in a story”. She was to be remembered for how she gave her love to those around her. This is a poem written by her daughter Lori Ryland that truly captures her essence.
In feel the pain of others you taught me empathy
In seeking to understand you taught me kindness
In discovery you taught me patience
In watching time you taught me that in a moment
Of not knowing what to do it is okay to put it on pause.
You helped me feel a love for life that comes from knowing
That what we have will pass
And that what really matters the most
Is only in what we cannot keep.
