Frances Clare Moss, born on July 21, 1940, in Boise, Idaho, peacefully passed away at home on October 31st, surrounded by her loving family. Frances was a cherished daughter of Gale and Margaret Farley. As a young woman she became a Job’s Daughter and rose to Honored Queen in her Bethel. She was an honor graduate of Boise High School and proud graduate of Willamette University with a degree in French Language Studies. She served as President of Chi Omega sorority during her time there. She taught high school French for a few years in Salem. She was a dedicated wife to Don Moss. Together, they made their home and raised their family in Gresham, OR. They later retired in Monmouth, OR.
Frances was deeply involved in Little League baseball and softball in Gresham, contributing significantly at the local and state level. Her passion for sports was further expressed through her ownership of two bowling centers in Dallas, OR, and The Dalles, OR where she created countless memories and lasting friendships.
Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don, but her legacy lives on through her three devoted sons, Geoff, Eric, and Tim, and her adopted son, Patrick Turner. She was a loving grandmother to six granddaughters and two adopted grandkids, as well as two great granddaughters, filling their lives with warmth and affection.
Frances was also known for her fondness for her loyal feline companion, Peanut, who provided her with endless comfort and companionship.
A memorial service to celebrate Frances’s life is scheduled for Saturday, November 18th, at 1:00 PM. The service will be held at the Bateman Carroll Funeral Home.
Frances Clare Moss touched the lives of many with her kindness, dedication, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
