She was born March 23, 1938, in Portland Oregon to Henry and Ester Dahlgren.
Doris, a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, is survived by her husband Don; sons, Jeff and Steve; daughter, Tracy; grandsons Cameron and Aiden; and granddaughters Kendall, Rian, Logan and Milash.
Doris attended Irvington Grade School and graduated from Grant High School in Portland Oregon in 1957. Doris married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Don on July 3, 1959. Doris was a full-time home maker, but as her children aged, she worked as a certified tax preparer, and later in the accounting department for the Portland law firm, Stoel Rives Boley Jones & Grey. She also worked closer to home in the admissions office for Mt. Hood Community College before eventually retiring. Don and Doris were married for 64 years.
Doris had an infectious laugh, was a wonderful cook and enjoyed visiting with her family and neighbors in the Damascus home she and Don owned for close to 50 years. The impact of her love and friendship to others will be forever felt by her family and friends that love her dearly. Her ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive and love will live on in the hearts of all she knew.
