Wayne L. Synoground

Wayne L. Synoground, 75, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 in Fort Smith. He was born April 20, 1949 in Greenwood to August Synoground and Geneva (Faulkner) Nichols. He was a deacon and member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church.

He is survived by one son, Scott Synoground and wife, Ann of Greenwood; one daughter, Lori Ashley and husband, Cole of Van Buren; one brother, Leon Nichols of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Brittany Synoground (Dustin), Whitney Cox (David), Caitlyn Ashley and Austin Ashley; four great grandchildren, Mayes and Sophia Balutis and Kendrick and Kayden Cox and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, August Synoground and Geneva Nichols; his wife, Dianne Synoground; one brother, August Synoground and a sister, LaVeda Griffith.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
