Roy D. Allen

Roy D. Allen, 67, of Jenny Lind, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 in Fort Smith. He was retired from Rheem and served in the Arkansas Army National Guard. Roy was preceded in death by his first wife, Cynthia Ann Moore Allen, and a son, James Gregory Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Linda M. Allen of the home; two daughters, Laura White and Lisa Pratt, both of Sallisaw, OK; one son, Roy W. Allen of Land O’ Lakes, Florida; four sisters, Shari Garrison and husband, Ben of Delaware, AR, Dana Barnes and husband, Jim of Tupelo, MS, Linda Jackson and husband, Mike of Maumelle, AR, and Cindy Simpson of Beaumont, TX; two brothers, Charles Allen and wife, Glenda of Paris, AR, and Steve Allen of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Greg Allen, Elena Allen, Roy Allen and Kelsie Pratt, and his mother, Thelma Allen of Paris, AR.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 27 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jack Tuck, Jack Green, Kenny Stabb, Jerry Brown, Mike Hewett, and Danny Long.
