Rechenda lived a full life, born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, graduating high school from Greenwood, Arkansas, and graduating from the University of Oklahoma. In her adult life, she lived in Tulsa, St. Louis, and Denver, always seeking adventure be it art museums or getting her steps in at the local park. Rechenda could be found faithfully cheering on her Sooners, tending to her many plants, and providing support and encouragement to all those around her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rechenda Marie Asher and Autumn Asher BlackDeer; her dear friends, Tammy Treadway, Susan Quarles Nelms and Karla Smith and her younger sisters, Evelyn Kasworm and Beverly Honaker and their families. Rechenda joins her mother, Ethelyn Moore and father, Thurman Moore, as well as her brothers, Sioux Wally Deer and Kenneth Leroy Greene, Jr. in Heaven.
Funeral service will be 9 a.m., Monday, November 25 at Harvest Time Church in Fort Smith with burial to follow at Clinton Indian Cemetery in Clinton, Oklahoma under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Kelvin Skaggs, Patrick Tipton, Kit Gorgas-Coonrod, Robert Kasworm, Lakota Kasworm and Atreyu Wolfgang Pettit.
