Bec proceeded in death by her father, John O’Bar. She is survived by her mother, Dede O’Bar; her brothers, Ben (Jaime), Joe (Kim) and Jacob (Chasity); her sisters, Beth M. Duquette (Ray) and Dee Simpson (Daniel) and many nieces, nephews and family.
Bec-bar, Aunt Becky is how she was known to many. To know Becky was to instantly love her. She had a servant’s heart and she always put others before herself. She was a paramedic, EMT, educator, friend, aunt, sister and daughter. Becky loved all children and served as an adopted aunt to many of the kids in the community. Becky was very active in her church parish, especially with the church youth. She was an avid sports fan, and the only person on a field she didn’t like most of the time was the referee. She loved her family fiercely. Becky loved being an aunt more than anything. She was so proud of all of her nieces and nephews and loved to brag on them and their accomplishments. She rarely missed a football, baseball, basketball or volleyball game- even if it was watching it on live stream when she couldn’t be there in person. Becky took pride in mentoring her “para-pups” and spent many summers at Camp Sunshine working with the kids there.
She may have gained her wings on Earth, but she has now learned how to fly!
