Paul Jack Sorrels, 85 of Greenwood passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was retired from the Civil Service, a Church of Christ minister, an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Dayton Church of Christ.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Dayton Church of Christ with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Friday from 1 – 8
p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Jane of 65 years; two daughters, Pam Mixon and husband, Mick of Greenwood and Debbie Basham and husband, Jerry of Bentonville; four granddaughters, Kristi Langley and husband, Richmond of Greenwood, Kelli Koch and husband, Newton of Ratcliff, Stacey Harris and husband, Kenny of Centerton and Ashley Lehman and husband, Brian of Nashville, TN; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Jessie Sorrels and his brother, Hayward Sorrels.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elder/Preacher School in Sarapheth in India or the Mission Work in Kenya in care of Dayton Church of Christ, 2230 East Highway 252, Huntington, AR 72940.
