Kennith Carrol Elmore, 83, of Huntington, Arkansas passed away Monday, February 27, 2023 in Fort Smith. He was born September 7, 1939 in Hartford, Arkansas to Thomas Bishop and Goldie Annie (Dunahoe) Elmore. He was the minister at Westside Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by one son, Carrol Elmore of Mansfield; three daughters, Teresa Harrison and husband, Gene of Huntington, Becky Hamilton and husband, Charlie of Hackett and Melissa Granger and husband, Jason of Barling; one sister, Emma Jean Carson; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine; six brothers, Bishop Elmore, Jr., Charley Elmore, Ralph Elmore, Doye Elmore, Dempsey Elmore and Glenden Ray Elmore and four sisters, Nellie Crittenden, Melverta Beneux, Melva Trout and Earlene Massey.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, March 6 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Witcherville with burial at Huntington Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 – 5 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 3 – 5 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Kent Elmore, Chad Hamilton, Tyler Patrick, Jake Heydenreich, Dalton Hickey and Dylan Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Hunt, Mark Cumbie, Marion Escalante and nephews.
