Kenneth King, 74, of Greenwood, Arkansas went to meet his Heavenly Father peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, surrounded by family and friends. He was the owner of Charley King and Son Welding and C & K Wrecker Service and was a member of the Air National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca King; one daughter, Jennifer Barnes and husband, Karl of Centerton; one granddaughter, Madalyn Barnes of Centerton; one sister, Patsy Hassett of Fort Smith; nephew, J.P. Hassett of Fort Smith; his uncle, Marvin King and wife, Glenda of Fort Smith; one very special niece, Talina Barnes; numerous cousins; two step children; six step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Oda King.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 2 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Barling Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Newell, Dennis Winklepleck, Nick Morgan, Brady Sadler, Robert Rogers and Karl Barnes. Honorary pallbearers will be J.P. Hassett, Roger Hammond and John Hediger.
