Johnny Elmore, 82, of Huntington, Arkansas passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 in Fort Smith. He was born January 1, 1942 in Mansfield, Arkansas to Herman and Reba (Robison) Elmore. He was retired from the oil field, a pastor at The Revival Center in Huntington and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Elmore; one daughter, Amber Elmore-Castro of Huntington; one brother, Ricky Elmore of Texas; one sister, Lana Webb of Brownfield, Texas; four grandchildren, Bryson and Dixie Wingate and Kenton and Eden Castro; six nieces of Danville, AR and several nieces and nephews of Sebastian County.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, December 13 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Dawson Cemetery in Milltown. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Mason, Ronnie Elmore, Donnie Elmore, Robert Elmore, James Elmore and Ryan Wingate.
