Jesse Ray Morris

Jesse Morris, 70, of Bonanza, Arkansas passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. Jesse was born October 25, 1950 in Kentucky to Edith and Jessie Morris. He was a retired Sergeant First Class for the United States Army.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 8 at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, Arkansas. Viewing will be Monday from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy of the home; two sons, Johnny Morris of Bonanza and Jerry Morris of Fort Smith; three brothers, Bobby and Dale Morris of Ohio and David Morris of Kentucky; four sisters, Rosie, Verisla, Alice and Martha; two granddaughters, Tamara Morris and husband Austin and Taylor Morris and fiancé’, Eli Smith and nine great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Leslie Lee Dalton and Tara Lea Morris.

Pallbearers will be Austin Morales, Eli Smith, Talon Morris, Billy Kunkel, Junior Kunkel, Derrall Taylor, and Bernie Hiatt.
