James Ramirez, 47, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a former forklift driver for Mars Pet Food and a U.S. Navy veteran.

A family led memorial service with military honors will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 9 at Burnville Baptist Church with a reception following the service. Cremation is under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.

He is survived by his wife, Charla Ramirez; two sons, Alexander J. Ramirez and Tyler E. Ramirez both of the home; one daughter, Emily D. Ramirez of the home; his mother, Linda M. Dickson of LasVegas, NV; two sisters, Jennifer E. Behnken and husband, Larry of Ohio and Jessica M. Nelson and husband, Dennis of Washington. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, James H. Dickson.
