For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
On October 10, 1922, a daughter was born to Clara (Patterson) and Dan Porter. They named her Dora. She was the second of four children and the second daughter. Her sister, Vivian Porter Sutter, was born first. After Dora came, her brother Bud Porter was born and then the baby of the family was Patrick “Butch” Porter. They were all born and raised in the Midland Valley area of Arkansas.
Dora married Leon L. Bryan on December 21, 1941 in Sebastian County. They were married for 29 years had 4 children; Patricia Ann, David Mack, Barbara Jean, and Robert Leon.
Dora was a unique woman, even at the age of 96, her mind was as sharp as when she was a young woman. She left us all an appreciation of life because she loved us all so very much and always put our needs first. We will never forget that love.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Leon Bryan; daughter, Barbara Jean Corcoran; grandson, Jeffrey Allan Bryan; daughter in law, Nancy Bryan; sister, Vivian Sutter; brothers, Bud and Butch Porter and nephew, Darrell Sutter.
