Donnie Carl Gipson

Donnie Carl Gipson, 61, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 in Fort Smith. Donnie was born September 15, 1963 in Fort Smith. Donnie worked at Unitog, a business uniform company, for over 42 years.

He loved the outdoors, biking, hiking and hunting. He also loved playing the guitar and listening to music. He was talented at building and repairing many things. Most of all, he loved visiting with family and friends. He read his bible and agreed that God is Sovereign. For Donnie there will be no more pain or sorrow or insulin shots.

Donnie is survived by his parents, Bill and Linda Gipson of Fort Smith; one sister, Michelle Summerhill and husband, Ken of Van Buren; nephew, Jeramy Ransom and wife, Brittany of Van Buren and their three children, James, Madelyn and Ruby Ransom; his niece, Sarah Coles and husband, Andrew of Van Buren and their two children, Isaac and Hannah Coles and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service will be 12 noon on Monday, April 14 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with a private burial at Dawson Cemetery in Milltown.

Pallbearers will be Jeramy Ransom, Ken Summerhill, Andrew Coles, James Ransom and Isaac Coles.
