Clayton “Tony” Antonio Leamons, 68 of Hartford, Arkansas, formerly of San Dimas, California passed away July 3, 2018 in his home. He was born November 27, 1949 to the late Marvin E. Leamons and Velma Arnold Leamons in Sparkman, Arkansas. He was retired from Travis Lumber Company and a member of Community Bible Church in Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Leamons; two sons, Tony E. Leamons of Rancho Cucamonga, California and Robert J. Bowers of Greenwood Arkansas; one daughter, Jean T. Schnauffer of Greenwood; one brother, Phillip Leamons of Junction City, Kansas and one sister, Sheila Johnson of Van Buren, Arkansas. His love was strong and true for his family through all of life’s ups and downs. He never strayed from being a loving husband and father to his wife, four children and six grandchildren who meant the most to him. He also leaves behind a coaching legacy of many of his children’s friends in Pop Warner Football and Little League baseball in La Verne/San Dimas California, as well as girls’ softball at Hartford High School in Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Trent Leamons and one sister, Sharon Child. Cremation was under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday July 13, at the home of Jean and Will Schnauffer in Greenwood.
The family will bury the remains at a later date at Holeman Cemetery in Manning, Arkansas. Online tributes may be left at www.mcconnellfh.com.
