Chuck Buckner

Chuck Buckner, 60, of Mountainburg, Arkansas went home to be with Jesus on Friday, February 24, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was the pastor of Highway 71 Free Will Baptist Church in Alma and the owner/operator of Buckner Trucking Company.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Buckner; one son, Alex Buckner and wife, Kelly of Greenwood; five daughters, Brianna Ridley and husband, Thomas of Van Buren, Leah Laurent of Fort Smith, Rebekah Quick of Fort Smith, Priscilla Parks of Van Buren and Vivian Costigan of Missouri; one brother, Jerry Buckner of Barling; fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Kaye Lynn Michael.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, March 3 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Mount Olive Cemetery in Midland. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Flute, Eric Flute, Tyler Dunavin, Jared Weaver, Justin Weaver and Al Crelia.
