Ynema married her loving and dedicated husband, Frederick Shelton Biesecker, in 1956 and together they had three children. Ynema was a phenomenal wife and mother, always putting others needs first. She travelled to over 30 different countries, handing out Bibles wherever she went. She truly never met a stranger. It has been said, “Everything we do in life echoes into eternity.” Ynema touched so many lives during her lifetime, it’s impossible to know just how many people she impacted with her generous and loving spirit.
Ynema graduated from Radford University in Radford, VA with a BS in Secondary Education. In her younger years, she served as a school teacher in four public school districts and a college in VA and OH. Later in life, she served as the Membership Director for the Better Business Bureau. She was also a long-time member of Taylors First Baptist Church.
Ynema stayed active in her later years, serving as the Adult Ladies III Sunday School teacher, on the Flower Committee, in the Encouragers Circle, in the Senior Choir, and in XYZ senior group. She also faithfully volunteered for Miracle Hill Ministries, the Piedmont Women’s Center, the City of Greenville’s efforts to count the local homeless population, the Ohio State Museum, and was a member and past state president of the Auxiliary of Gideons International of SC. She continued her love of education by also teaching English as a second language.
In addition to her husband Fred, Ynema is survived by her three children, Mark William Biesecker, Timothy Eugene Biesecker (Mary), and Melissa Lee Biesecker Kerwin (Scott); nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Ynema is predeceased by two brothers, William Don Sarver and Frederick Eugene Gibson.
A funeral service will be held at Taylors First Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 10th at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12:00-1:45pm. A committal will follow the service at the Taylors First Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, Greer Camp, PO Box 861, Greer, SC 29652.
