He was in the United States Air Force and a Korean War Veteran. After the war, he became a long-time employee of Grumman Corporation in Bethpage, NY, working in aviation. He had a lifelong love for airplanes of all kinds. After retiring from Grumman and moving to Greenville, SC in 1992, he worked at several jobs, mostly as a security officer.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alida Ann Wilsey Weber, his daughter Christy Lynne Weber Carden (Christopher Alan Carden), his son-in-law Ernest Charles Caponetti, and his grandchildren: Lynne Julie Caponetti, Daniel Ernest Caponetti, William “Alan” Carden, and Samuel Weber Carden.
He was predeceased in death by his daughters Julie Claire Weber and April Lynne Weber Caponetti and his brother, James William Weber.
