Syble was born on May 11, 1927 in Greenville, SC. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Floyd Chandler and Louise Farr Chandler.
Syble attended Paris High School where she was a member of the girls’ basketball team. She worked for 26 years at Homelite in Greer where she was progressed to the position of Production Inventory Control Supervisor. Syble retired from Homelite in 1985. Syble loved traveling and was able to visit all 50 United States and all the provinces of Canada. She also thoroughly enjoyed a trip to the Holy Land. She was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. In her younger years, she was a faithful worker in the church nursery.
Surviving are two daughters, Sylvia Nicholson and husband, Mike; Maxine Compton and husband Robby; a son, Jerry Atkinson and wife Sunny; four grandchildren, Brad Nicholson and wife, Mandy; Brian Nicholson and wife, Sheree; Tara Molnar and husband Chris; and Tyler Compton and wife Jennifer; six great-grandchildren, Caitlyn (Brad), Michael and Braylon (Brian), Ember (Tara), Alexander and Anna-Jane (Tyler); a sister, Peggy Cone and husband, Jack.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, and her sister and brother-in-law, Molly and Don Coster.
The funeral service will be held at Mountain Creek Baptist church at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 21. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 1:30 to 2:45 PM. Burial will be in the Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
